From the time of our founding, Alpha Delta Pi has believed in the importance of giving back to our community. A dedication to philanthropy guides our members to spend time in the service of those who need it most. Our international organization’s commitment to Ronald McDonald House Charities has led to the donation of over $20,000,000 over the course of our partnership. More than 350 Ronald McDonald Houses in 64 countries help keep families with seriously ill or injured children together when they need it most by offering them a comfortable, temporary residence in proximity to a medical facility.
The Zeta Phi chapter hosts and participates in events that directly support RMHC of Columbia, SC, such as Pie a Pi, Roses for Ronald, and various can tab drives . Many of our members share personal experiences with RMHC and the connections push us to continuously support and give back to this organization. Our members regularly visit the Ronald McDonald House in Columbia and provide services and meals to the families staying in the house. Examples of these acts include cooking meals, cleaning, and preparing baked goods.
In addition to RMHC, our chapter works to give back to our local community. Our chapter works with the local animal shelter, the Hannah Skipper Foundation, Miracle League, and other organizations in Florence and the surrounding area.
